CHI is supporting the following research projects;
MP3 Youth: a pilot study to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of a gender-specific combination HIV prevention package for youth (aged 15-24) in high burden settings. The study aims to pilot a combination package of gender-specific interventions in western Kenya in a mobile health delivery format using integrated services delivery.
AGI-K: a randomized, controlled trial that tests combination of initiatives in health, violence prevention, wealth creation and education to determine which improves girls' lives the most.
Electronic Medical Records systems:
Electronic Medical Record systems (EMRs) are defined as health-related records in electronic format stored in a centralized system with restricted access. EMRs have the benefits of improving tracking data, identify patient’s clinic appointments, monitor a patient’s treatment and improve the quality of care.
Mobile Health:
Mobile health commonly referred to as mHealth is the collection, aggregation, and dissemination of health information using mobile phones via wireless networks to improve the quality and access to healthcare.
Biometric Systems:
Biometrics is the use of biological features of a person to uniquely identify them, the system are implemented on computers and android devices using the features such as face, iris and fingerprint.
